Hello! I am excited to announce I have imported all my blog posts into my redesigned website. I will no longer be posting here, so please join me there!

One question I get asked fairly frequently is, "What do you eat?" That is a great question, so I thought I'd start by sharing what I don't eat...
What about the bacon sold at the counter at places like Whole Foods or my favorite butcher shop in Carmel? After a particularly disappointing experience at a local grocery store's meat counter, I vowed that I will only buy my meat from Whole Foods, my butcher, or the local farmers at the farmer's market.
I'm getting there with alot of what you've just listed. We don't use margarine. We gave away our microwave - it was being used as an expensive bread box for quite a while before we gave it away :). We use sea salt. We don't eat processed meats or any kind of meat just fish. We avoid products with HFCS and use wholewheat flour. We don't buy or have white sugar either. We are improving every day and I thank God for leading us on this path to excellent health.
Hi Pamela, Wonderful article... really interesting! I'm amazed that you're able to cope with all these restrictions. I have a health and organic food website called www.esvasa.com... we try and promote organic food and healthy living in India in a non commercial way. But even here, it's difficult to maintain the kind of strictures you're following! All the best, and hope to be in touch with you.. tc, Vandana www.esvasa.com, www.facebook.com/esvasaindia
I'm with you on several of these and challenged by a few (what do I put in the hole where my microwave fits over my oven?). Wheat is quickly disappearing from my kitchen. There are lots of traditional condiments that I don't eat (but they are included in some of your other items) - people are usually confused when there is a cookout at my house...
What about "Real Salt" (http://www.realsalt.com/) I've been using it for years.
ReplyDeleteA little more info ... it comes from a salt flat in Utah (old sea bed) and isn't processed. http://www.realsalt.com/101/

What restrictions? I eat whole foods and avoid toxic foods. It's very simple and I don't feel restricted at all. :)
